Here’s my final video update for my kickstarter before my show at Groovebox Studios in Detroit. This video shares some specific part to the songs I’m going to play that allows you to participate with me when i perform them live! From surf beat clappin’ and twisting’ to gypsy waltz’s to gang vocal chorus’s, all of which I need your help with! The idea is to make this a more personable and intimate event where you get to participate in the music making! Please watch my video and share with your friends! Here are some more updates on my kickstarter with Groovebox Studios Detroit and some little sneak peaks at what I am giving back in return to my wonderful backers! Includes some accordion and chime piano and the newly made design for the hand-printed posters I’m working on as well. Looking forward to documenting more for my next update! :)

I had the pleasure of performing with the wondrous gypsy/pirate/rockabilly band Hellblinki the other night at Mac’s Bar in Lansing with a 14 piece gypsy jazz group called, The Lansing Unionized Vaudeville Spectacle (or the LUVS for short) in which I rock the accordion. Seeing the lovely trio take the stage [and literally own it] was like Halloween had come early and in the best possible way! SO many great influences in their style from 3/4 French inspired Waltz’s, to fast driving kick that felt almost punk, but not quit, as it retained it’s own unique style. All of these great qualities with a strong overtone of what I can only describe as a “haunted carnival” sound. Fun, spooky and even heartfelt at times. Cheers to Hellblinki! I would strongly suggest you take a listen to their music and if you ever get a chance, for the love of hell, GO-GO-GO see them [I can’t stress that enough]! They put on a fantastic performance that you won’t soon forget! 

For my kickstarter, one of my rewards [for $50 pledge] is to learn a cover song of the fans choosing… Well, needless to say I am learning “I Want it That Way” by the Backstreet Boys, thanks to my dear friend Travis Valentine [bluffing the ghosts]. I decided I would use my accordion to write this one and change it up and perhaps even make it better than the original. lol We’ll see!

I am launching my kickstarter tomorrow morning with Groovebox Studios in Detroit! My last visit there was haunting and adventurous and fun! I can’t wait to gather up all my friends and loved ones and share that experience with them. It’s exciting and unique and something that most likely won’t happen again which makes it very personal and exclusive. I will bee running my campaign until the 12th of october and am going to need every bit of help possible. Even sharing the news on facebook, tumblr and twitter is a huge help. I’m stoked for this! It’s going to be a lot of fun! ;)
